(Note: I use this binocular almost exclusively for birding)
Quality, look and feel are first rate and optical quality is truly excellent. The resolution is extremely good. Also very good is brightness. When dealing with a backlit bird in the top of a tree this binocular continues to impress. The color and detail that can be seen is remarkable.
The focus wheel moves at the right speed and is about two full turns lock to lock, but half of that is used for very close ranges. I have not found the focus to be too slow. The smoothness and refinement of the focusing mechanism doesn't match that of the Nikon Premier or EDG (but then again, what does?). This may not bother most people, but it is worth noting.
The 7.8 degree field of view of this binocular is something you get used to very fast. Once you're used to it, it's hard to go back to narrower field of view.
The water shedding lens coatings really do work. After birding in drizzling rain, a blower blew water drops off as though the lens was coated with teflon. This would would have required a lens cleaning in another binocular.
Overall, this binocular is optically and ergonomically excellent. Stunning images. Expensive yes, but if you want the best view possible, this is one to look at.
