(More customer reviews)The 24 mm Panoptic is a great piece of glass. Wonderful views in my 8" Newtonian reflector (xt8i) and my 60mm Meade refractor. It has excellent build quality as expected from a TeleVue product. It is an upgrade from Meade 4000 series plossls. I chose this one over the Meade super wide, because I plan to keep it forever and figured the additional cost was worth it in the long run. Although Explore Scientific has come out with a 68deg line which might have changed my mind if it was available at the time I purchased this.
Pros:
-Made by TeleVue one of the best companies in the business
-Great build quality
-Widely recognized as one of if not the best 68deg 24mm eyepiece out there
Cons:
-You pay a premium for excellence-significantly more expensive than the second best.
-It is on the heavier side, but shouldn't be a problem for most scopes.
