(More customer reviews)I purchased these binoculars for my wife so we could both go birding. Optically - they are very sharp, bright, and the colors appear to be very accurate. At full retail I might have been disappointed in the focusing action, especially on the diopter ring as it is a bit tight, however at this price I really don't care and as a plus, if you are not sharing them, they will hold their position (besides they will likely loosen up a bit with further usage). A lot of binoculars have the BaK4 roof prisms, but not all are coated and there in lies one of the keys that makes these so good I believe. Another thing is that while they are incredibly light, they feel really solid and ergonomically they fit in your hand great. Don't forget, these binoculars are water and fog proof which is something typically not available at this price.
Certainly there are better binoculars but at this price point I cannot imagine anything better. Realistically, the optical quality and features of these binoculars compares to what I found on closeout at big box sporting good stores in the 160-200 price point. If you want a nice pair of binoculars and you are on a budget, need a second pair or just want a nice pair of binoculars........get these. If you think of these as $50 binoculars, you will be elated with the quality.
